Provence, the Carmague and the Cote d’Azur

France, Summer, 2005

I took these photos on our barge/driving trip through Provence, the Carmague and along the Cote d’Azur in 2005.  (The Carmague is the delta area of the Rhone River – basically at the bottom of Provence.)

My photos are divided into groups more or less chronologically. For each group, you can browse thumbnails for the group by clicking on the group title. You can then click on a thumbnail to view the photo enlarged.

These Web pages contain low-resolution versions of the photos. They are adequate for prints up to 3x4 inches. If you wish to have larger prints you should use the link at the bottom of this page to access the high-res versions of the photos (2000x3000, averaging about 6 MB/photo).  To download a photo, click on the thumbnail to display the large photo, then right-click on the large photo and choose “Save image as…”.

Or you can view a slide show by clicking on “slide show.” The slide shows have the advantage of displaying the photos full screen, whereas when browsing you will see a smaller version of each photo and might have to scroll to see portrait-format photos.

When you are viewing slide shows, if you expand the window to full-screen, that will eliminate the border and display the photo as large as will fit on your monitor.  Press the PgDn or PgUp keys to go forward or backward – otherwise the picture will advance every 15 seconds, looping forever.
